The Charles County Holiday Trail opens Saturday, December 7, and continues on Sunday, December 8, 2019.
Comprising the area’s leading historical sites and arts venues. Sites for the 2019 trail include: The African American Heritage Society of Charles County, Inc., Christ Church Port Tobacco Parish, La Plata, Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum, Maryland Veterans Museum at Patriot Park, Mount Aventine at Chapman State Park, Maxwell Hall, Port Tobacco One-Room School, Port Tobacco Historic Village: Burch House, Stagg Hall, Port Tobacco Courthouse, Serenity Farm and the Farm Heritage Conservancy, St. Ignatius Church/St. Thomas Manor, Smallwood Retreat House, The Historic McConchie One Room School, Mattawoman Creek Art Center and the Thomas Stone National Historic Site.
All sites are family friendly, inexpensive, or free to visit. Over the weekend you will find something for everyone: music performances, house tours, living nativity scenes, greens demonstrations, crafts for children, shopping, and more.
