Tour the Mount Aventine manor house of a prominent tidewater family who first occupied the site in the 1750's. See the new exhibit of Native American artifacts and another on the history and architectural significance of the circa 1810 west wing. Take a hike on one of the nature trails, view the environmental display at the Mount Aventine Visitor's Center, or simply enjoy the view of the sweeping landscape of the Potomac River. We offer many special seasonal events including guided nature walks, history talks, special guests and children's activities.
