Pre-Application Workshop for the NonProfit Grant Cycle
The Charles County Charitable Trust has announced the terms of the application process for nonprofit grant awards for the next grant cycle. Apr. 9, 2018, has been set as the deadline for nonprofit organizations to submit their applications for the fiscal year beginning July 1. A new requirement this year involves attendance at a mandatory pre-application workshop, one set for Jan. 18 and the other for Feb. 28. The grant application form and workshop registration form can be found on the Trust’s website, www.charlesnonprofits.org.
To be eligible for consideration, nonprofits must be recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and must serve Charles County residents.
By agreement with the county government, the Trust took over management of the annual Nonprofit Grant Award Program in 2016. The current grant cycle will mark the third handled by the Trust. Last year its board of directors approved grant awards to 24 nonprofit organizations for a total of $783,100.
