Maryland State Delegate Debra M. Davis, Esq. (District 28, Charles County) and Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. are co-hosting a Community Conversation with the Charles County Public Defender’s Office on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at Waldorf West Library (10405 O'Donnell Place, Waldorf). The public is invited to attend and learn more about the criminal justice system, explore possible reforms, and ask questions about the public defender’s office with Public Defender Michael Beach.
Topics will include:
- Role of a public defender in our community
- Criminal justice reform
- Pretrial services
- Establishment of special court
- Expungement of criminal records
- Juvenile arrests
