Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission for Charles County, Maryland will be considering a proposed amendment to Docket 90 (Revised and Restated) and the Master Plan for Fairway Village of St. Charles.
The Planning Commission is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing has been scheduled for February 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room, located in the County Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland.

The Applicant, ALD Properties, LLC, is seeking approval by the Board of County Commissioners to amend a condition that was imposed on the residential development of Fairway Village (Parcel EE1) in 2015. If the request is granted, the Applicant will not be required to have developed the entire commercial area of Parcel EE concurrently with or prior to the residential area of Parcel EE1 (as was previously required), but instead will only need to have commenced development of, have plans to develop in parallel with, or have previously developed at least 10,000 square feet of commercial space. Additionally, the Applicant seeks to be released from the current condition that requires pre-approval of a tenant grocer by the Board of County Commissioners prior to commencing any residential development on Parcel EE1. The affected area of the Fairway Village Master Plan is located to the southeast of the Billingsley Road and St. Charles Parkway intersection.
Citizens wishing to make verbal or written comments are encouraged to attend the hearing. The proposed Amendment to Docket 90 (Revised and Restated) and the Master Plan for Fairway Village of St. Charles, PDZA #19-90(21) will be posted to the Planning Commission BoardDocs website prior to the hearing at www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public. The Amendment is also available for review at the Department of Planning and Growth Management in the County Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland.
