THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Mr. Andrew C. Buscher, Agent, for a variance approval of a 30’ foot reduction to a 50’ foot rear building restriction line (BRL), to establish a new 20’ foot rear BRL, which will enable the construction of a single-family detached home, Use #3.01.100. The variance request is in accordance with the provisions of Article XIII, Section §297-416 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The Applicant additionally proposes a more restrictive front BRL than what is recorded on the plat. The subject property - 8400 Evesham Place, La Plata, Maryland, is designated as Lot 7 within the Locust Hill subdivision, and is identified on Tax Map 32, Grid 10, Parcel 221. Lot 7 is approximately 3.0351 acres in size and is zoned Rural Conservation (RC) Zone. The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland.
