PUBLIC NOTICE

THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by

MD Solar 1, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, for a Special Exception to permit a Solar Energy Systems, Large, as provided in Article XIII, Section §297-212 (Use #7.07.200) and Article XXV, Section §297-415 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance.

The subject property, 4850 Shugart Valley Place, La Plata, Maryland 20646, is identified as Parcel 24, within Grid 11 on Tax Map 41.  The entirety of the approximately 537-acre parcel is located within the Agricultural Conservation (AC) zone.  The subject parcel is accessed off of the eastern side of Mason Springs Road (MD Route 425). Parcel 24 is situated south of the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department, which is located at the intersection and MD Route 425 and Bicknell/Poorhouse roads, and north of the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad, which is located at the intersection of MD Route 425 and Port Tobacco Road. The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland.
