Public Notice from Charles County Department of Public Works

Charles County Department of Public Works is required to monitor Bryans Road’s drinking water for specific contaminants on regular basis.  Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not drinking water meets health standards.  During January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017, we completed all required testing with the exception of testing for Nitrate at one location of the two (2) locations tested for Nitrate.  Therefore, we cannot be sure of the water quality (regarding Nitrate) of Bryans Road’s drinking water during that time, at the one location.  However, a Nitrate sample was collected in March 2018, and results were normal.  Nitrate testing is required to be performed on annual basis, and the previous sample of Nitrate in 2016 was also normal.  Charles County Department of Public Works will continue to provide safe and clean drinking water to the residents of Bryans Road water system.  For additional information, please contact Mr. Sam Simanovsky, Chief of Operations & Maintenance at 301-609-7400.
