Enactment of Bill 2018-09
Revisions to Core Employment Residential (CER) Zone
The Charles County Commissioners enacted Bill #2018-09 titled Revisions to Core Employment Residential (CER) Zone. The legislation amends the Charles County Zoning Ordinance, Article VI, §297-95, Figure VI-7, Schedule of Zone Regulations: Town Center Core Mixed Use Zones to reduce the minimum rear yard requirement from 50 feet to 20 feet for the Commercial Use category (6.00.000), and eliminates the minimum two-story requirement for the Service-Oriented Commercial (5.00.000) and Commercial (6.00.000), in the Core Employment Residential (CER) Zone.
Bill 2018-09 becomes effective on December 7, 2018.
