THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Mr. Larry W. Carpenter & Sally A. Carpenter, for variance approval to the established front and side yard setbacks for an accessory structure, in accordance with Chapter §297-29 B. (4) and (5) of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance, which would enable the construction of a detached garage on the premises. The two (2) variance requests are in accordance with the provisions of Article XXV, Section §297-416 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The subject property - 8975 Gunston Road, Welcome, Maryland, is designated as Lot 2 within the Land of Theo W. Karwasinski subdivision, and is identified on Tax Map 53, Grid 19, Parcel 170. Lot 2 is approximately 3.07 acres in size and is zoned Agricultural Conservation (AC) Zone. The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland.
