Public Notice from Charles County Department of Public Works

Charles County Department of Public Works is required to monitor Waldorf’s drinking water for specific contaminants on regular basis.  Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not drinking water meets health standards.  During January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, we completed all required testing with the exception of testing for Fluoride at one location of the 12  locations tested for Fluoride.  Therefore, we cannot be sure of the water quality (regarding Fluoride) of Waldorf’s drinking water at that one location, during that time period.  However, a Fluoride sample was collected in March 2018 at the previously missed location, and results were normal.  Fluoride testing is required to be performed once every three years, the previous sample of Fluoride in 2014 was also normal.  Charles County Department of Public Works will continue to provide safe and clean drinking water to the residents of Waldorf.  For additional information, please contact Mr. Sam Simanovsky, Chief of Operations & Maintenance at 301-609-7400.
